Questions We Get a Lot

Traditional steam saunas heat the air around you using an electric or wood-fired stove, often reaching temperatures between 150°F and 195°F, and you can pour water over the rocks to create bursts of steam. Infrared saunas use carbon or ceramic heaters to warm your body more directly at lower ambient temperatures, typically between 120°F and 150°F. Both offer a deeply relaxing heat experience — the right choice comes down to the intensity and style of sauna session you prefer.

Traditional saunas do usually require a heavier duty plug and breaker. We always recommend reviewing the product specifications and consulting a qualified electrician before installation.

Our traditional saunas are crafted primarily from Canadian Hemlock and Cedar, two woods well regarded for their natural resistance to warping and cracking under high heat and humidity. Cedar, used in outdoor models for its resistance to rot and pests carries a pleasant natural aroma that many sauna enthusiasts love. Hemlock is a denser, lighter-toned wood that maintains structural integrity beautifully over long-term use., and is used primarily in indoor saunas.

Most traditional saunas ship free to the continental U.S. and are delivered via freight carrier due to their size, so you will typically receive a call to schedule a delivery window that works for you. We recommend inspecting your unit upon delivery and noting any visible damage before signing off with the carrier.

About Our Traditional Saunas

Flow Into Vitality's Traditional Saunas collection is growing. We currently offer the Orivon Auris One Luxury Outdoor Cedar Sauna for those who have a smaller space, and the Orivon Auris Two Luxury Outdoor Cedar Sauna for those who have more space and who wish to have the option to accommodate friends or family in a session. Our traditional saunas are crafted from the most durable wood for the outdoors, premium Cedar, chosen for both natural heat resistance and longevity. Whether you are drawn to the ritual of pouring water over hot stones or simply want a consistent, enveloping warmth at the end of a long day, our traditional sauna lineup brings that experience home with clean, welcoming design and construction built to last for years to come.
